If you're not already following the DMS-Dynamic Media Services page on Facebook, you really should be. While I'm always happy to share things as I become privy to them, most of the updates come out on Facebook. Let's take a look at what has been happening just this year for Forrest, Kenny, and Darrelle.
February:
Their 5-song EP Rise of the Next Afro-Future Renaissance dropped and was well-received with listeners from around the world.
After all the blood, sweat, and talent that went into releasing that EP, the guys took a well-deserved break and focused on setting their next goals
March:
The Storyville team, DMS and I, met with potential producers, backers, and a director in preparation of taking the musical to the stage. This has definitely been a learning process for all of us, and we're excited to see how it progresses.
April and May:
DMS worked with other musicians to finish up the score for Storyville, adding in all the transitions and the variations needed for each reprise (there are two songs with 3 variations, but who's counting).
June:
Forrest was approached by a friend and their fiance for DMS to compose their wedding song. YES, they do commissions, so reach out (https://linktr.ee/DynamicMediaServices). Immediately, Forrest called on his crew, and some other outstanding musicians to create the wedding song of a lifetime. Not only will it be used in the wedding, but it will also be on the forthcoming album...more to come about that!
July and August:
DMS spent their time tying up all of the individual projects they had going on:
- Storyville score finalized
- Five additional new songs developed for the album release...keep reading!
- The wedding song (Eternity) finished and released (Find it on all your favorite streaming platforms)
- A full album release scheduled for November 2022, including brand new, never before heard songs.
- Storyville: A BlueBook Chronicle in full swing! If you want a very brief and rough glimpse of what this is about, check out the article "When the Music Transcends" right here on this blog. So much more to come!
